about a year ago in 2009;
just as i was on the threshold of being uni life in SMU.

a new wordpress account.
a new beginning at recording my life
new possibilities,
new revelations.

this could be for anything,
my food diary? about my spiritual walk? even both!

as i type away-
i wonder…

maybe this could My Anything Blog.
i like it-

so here goes:

1. Food diary:

scoffed a beh teh sorh. (pastry with sweet stuffing)
at the desk with 2 cups of green tea.

during lunch, had really good sweet & sour pork
that brought me warm, fuzzy memories of the 1st time i fell
in love with the dish:

a time just after a major exam-

sitting in the old time coffee shop
watching

the freshly made dishes stacked on a
semi-circle mound of warm long-grain rice
and covered with thick curry gravy
through the glass panel

and feeling the comfort of the crisp sweetness of the meat
just taking all my post exam stress away..

it was love at first taste, it was.

2. My Spiritual Walk

i feel like i m at a stage where i want to
progress in my spiritual walk with God…
to know Him better and closer..

but instead like an impatient child
i get so busy i forget to spend time with a God
who knows me inside out,
even better than i know myself.

a God whose thoughts toward me are good
and have a future and a hope

a new start,

this blog is officially revived.

the facades are torn down;

the barricades are broken;

and all that is left

is a girl who wanted to be

ten times more confident

ten times more powerful

ten times more wise

ten times better than who she thought she was.

It didnt have to be that way.

” you never let me down,
but I lifted you up”

We all need You,
who loved and believed in us.

what is the meaning of life?

istartedto wonder

a million thought bubbles escaped my mind

floating and bursting each time

when i ran out of bubbles

and finally concluded;

why dont i ask my Maker?

who knew me from my mothers womb,

was it my dear father?

who cared for me since the day i arrived

was it my dear mother?

alas neither could really clarify

what my existence meant

but both could suffice

the simple truth that

my birth was really God-send. =)

the simple charm of  rustic Tasonville

surpasses the likes of Normandy’s

 modernisticdecor.

The familiarity of her hometown 

 sweeps a wave of

philosophy and nostalgia,

from the blooming roses at the window-side

to the clock tower of the Chuch of Combray.

Bathing in the glow of her cottage,

she feels truly at ease at

her center of the universe.

quaint Tuscany as the ideal holiday destination.

The diversity of attractions

draw visitors from all walks of life,

from olive groves and flower fields,

to ubiquitous bathing beaches.
Liguria is but a stone’s throw away.

Mediterranean cuisine and a rich history

nourish the hungry, culturally-starved traveller.

and the Baroque and Renaissance architechture

of Tuscany

stop new-comers in awe

Such Paragons of beauty are rare.

In short;

To visit Tuscany is to visit an old friend;

sweet nostalgia lingers

and new discoveries are treasured

memories are built together,

in time well-spent.
